What You Will Contribute

 

Our growing service department is seeking Mechanics and CWB Welders with great technical and problem-solving skills to join our team and help us in meeting our commitment of “Service Anywhere, Anytime.”

 

An Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT), services, maintains, and repairs all systems on a fire truck. These systems include multiplexed electrical, water pumps, hydraulic aerial ladders, and plumbing. Frequently, our customers are asking us to perform additional services to maximize the benefit of taking their apparatus out of service for repair and maintenance.

 

What You Will Do

 

  • – Perform inspection, repair, service and testing of fire-rescue vehicles and equipment at our service center
  • – Perform heavy truck maintenance and repair work
  • – Perform pre-delivery inspections of new vehicles
  • – Review assigned work orders with the Service Manager
  • – Diagnose faults/malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of malfunction and the type and scope of repair required
  • – Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts, components, or systems, using hand/power tools
  • – Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications and company quality standards
  • – Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance on equipment
  • – Travel and perform local field service when required

 

What You Will Need

 

  • – 5+ years of Mechanical experience providing outstanding results
  • – Willingness to learn new and innovative technologies
  • – Achieve and hold EVT Certification’s throughout employ
  • – Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • – Results driven without compromising quality
  • – Obsessive about details
  • – Able to take accountability for tasks and execute flawlessly
  • – High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
  • – Valid BC Driver ’s License with air brake endorsement or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • – CWB Welding Certificate an asset
  • – You must hold a valid passport and be able to travel to the USA
